From the 28th of March to the 1st of April, Israel directed multiple airstrikes on Syrian territory. In a press communiqué released on the 29th of March, Russia strongly condemned these attacks on Syria, describing them as “gross violation of the sovereignty of this country”. Nonetheless, the worst action of this bombing campaign was the strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, on the 1st of April, which caused the death of 16 people.
