A summit of the defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states was held in New Delhi (India) on 28 April. This meeting brought together all the defense ministers of the organization (India, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) as well as two ministers from observer states, namely Iran and Belarus. The agenda of this summit was primarily to discuss counter-terrorism and security efforts within the SCO.
