On the 20th of March, President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa, and the Russian ambassador to Zimbabwe, Nikolai Vladimirovitch Krasilnikov, presided over a diplomatic ceremony in Harare. The event was dedicated to the earlier Russian deliveries of thousands of tonnes of grain, but also fertilisers, to Zimbabwe. Both nations’ representatives have stated that they are satisfied with the cooperation between Moscow and Harare, from an economic as well as a humanitarian point of view. President Mnangagwa has directly thanked the Kremlin for its “leading role in preventing the global food crisis”. More and more African States hope to benefit from the advantageous Russian deliveries, which are an answer to the concerns regarding the decrease of agricultural production in Ukraine.
