On 12th November, Russian vessels have docked in Chattogram, second largest city in Bangladesh. According to the Newsweek media outlet, it is the first time that the Russian navy docks in Bangladeshi ports since the 1970’s. A few days after the beginning of joint military exercises involving Moscow and Myanmar, another South Asian country with close ties to the Kremlin, this event has been welcomed as an important milestone in the relation between Russia and Bangladesh.
