On the 8th of February, Alexander Yakovenko, deputy Minister of Foreign affairs, welcomed an Iranian delegacy to Moscow. Composed of cultural advisors, this delegation’s main objective was to discuss the education issue between the two countries. As a reminder, in late 2023, Vladimir Putin had expressed the wish to see Russian schools be established in Iran, but this desire never transpired in any concrete measure.
