On the 31st January and the 1st February, some consultations between Russian and Chinese scientific agencies took place. Various topics were on the agenda, notably the militarisation of outer space, and the use of AI in military affairs. Both China and Russia are seeking a closer collaboration in the military domain, mainly because of the development of new armament technologies. Therefore, the two nations have agreed to coordinate their actions within Group of Governmental Experts (GGE) on Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems (LAWS), who are working on these issues.
