North Caucasus Federal District: Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD) and met with the leaders of its constituent regions on 20 May. On 19 May, the Pyatigorsk head of state held a meeting of the Council on Inter-Ethnic Relations, during which he discussed the “current model of national state policy, integration of the new regions into the Russian socio-cultural space, and adaptation of the strategy of national state policy to external challenges and threats.”
