General assembly of United Nations has adopted an annual resolution on the situation of internally displaced persons and refugees from South Ossetia and Abkhazia in Georgia the 7th june. Despit 9 votes against (Belarus, Cuba, Burundi, Russian Federation, Nicaragua, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Soudan, Syria and Zimbabwe) and 59 abstentions, this resolution “calls […] for a timetable to be set for the unhindered voluntary return, in safety and dignity, of all displaced persons”.
