On 7th April, Alexander Kurenkov, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, stated that “The Arctic is one of the most promising regions both for Russia and for the world”, as part of the Safe Artic 2023 exercises which will take place are currently taking place near Murmansk, the world’s largest city north of the Arctic Circle.
