On 27th December, 2023, Subrahmanyan Jaishankar, the Indian Minister of Foreign affairs, was welcomed for a diplomatic visit in Moscow. During a press conference held right after their meeting, Sergey Lavrov, his Russian counterpart, has presented the results of this discussion. India and Russia have thus agreed to intensify their cooperation regarding trade, but also energy: the Russian involvement in the construction of new nuclear reactors, at the Kudakulam power plant (located on the southern tip of India), is an important aspect of this cooperation.
