On Sunday 14th May, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received the Charlemagne Prize, an award created in 1949 after the destruction of the Second World War and which is awarded each year in Aachen, the residence of Emperor Charlemagne in the 9th century, for commitment to European integration.
