Serbia relies on Cypriot support for EU membership and territorial interests

The Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Đurić, met with his Cypriot counterpart, Constantinos Kombos, in Nicosia to strengthen bilateral relations. Đurić reaffirmed Serbia’s unconditional support for Cyprus, particularly on the crucial issue of territorial integrity, and expressed his desire to enhance cooperation, especially in the economic, tourism, defense, and educational sectors. For his part, Kombos endorsed Serbia’s bid for EU membership and praised the reforms undertaken by Belgrade, while also expressing concerns about the ongoing negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina.
