In terms of security and defence issues, after the frenzy of March and April, May was rather quiet in Central Asia. Indeed, it was above all the visit of the heads of state of the region to Moscow for the Victory Day parade that made the news. And this, despite the strong willingness of these countries to politically walk away from the influence of the Kremlin.
