On the 18th of February, Saudi Arabia hosted a meeting between Sergey Lavrov and Marco Rubio, respectively the heads of Russian and American diplomacy, who mainly discussed conflict resolution efforts in Ukraine. Sergey Lavrov stated that he was satisfied with this meeting, which he described as “fruitful”. Moreover, the two parties plan on resuming their bilateral relation (through the nomination of new ambassadors), and have expressed their sincere gratefulness to Riyadh, for welcoming their delegations.
