On the 3rd of February, 2025, the Russian Minister of Foreign affairs, Sergey Lavrov, gave a speech celebrating the 75th birthday of the Russian-Indonesian relations. Established back in 1950, only a few weeks after Jakarta’s independence, the Russian-Indonesian relations have always remained cordial, regardless of Indonesia’s very active participation to the Non-Aligned Movement.
