On the 22nd October, Mikhaïl Michoustin, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, delivered a speech to the members of the Government Coordination Center, during a strategy meeting on the development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF) His speech, available on the government website, symbolises the Russian government’s desire to demonstrate its commitment to the economic development of the region, which accounts for 25% of Russian territory and more than 20,000 kilometres of maritime border.

According to the Prime Minister, the government’s action is focused on several topics, including three main ones.
