As reported in the latest monitoring, on September 18, 2023, a violent attack took place at the Wildberries office in Moscow, where a group of about thirty men broke windows, triggering a shootout that resulted in the deaths of two Ingush men, Islambek Elmurziev and Adam Almazov, and left three others injured. This incident exacerbated tensions between Adam Delimkhanov, a Chechen representative, and Bekhan Barakhoev, an Ingush representative, who blamed each other for the attack’s responsability. Delimkhanov claimed that the Chechens had acted in self-defense, while Barakhoev disputed this, stressing that the security guards were unarmed.

This week, Ramzan Kadyrov declared a vendetta against several Ingush deputies. This monitoring analyzes how this event intensifies political and interethnic tensions, and what the potential consequences are of the absence of state regulation in such a conflict.
