The European Council confirmed on 8 May that a next meeting would take place on 14 May in Brussels between the Armenian Prime Minister, the Azerbaijani President and Charles Michel, and that these discussions should also be supplemented by meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron. and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, on the sidelines of the next summit of the European Political Community in Chisinau on 1st June, a proposal that the Azerbaijani side accepted “as long as it does not replace and modify the Brussels format”.
