The “Artsakh Information Centre” has announced the forthcoming availability of new ration tickets and the passage from 3 to 6 hours of daily power cuts in homes. The 19 May bulletin reports the following toll in the enclave: 1,340 citizens deprived of the possibility of surgery, 394 people transferred to Armenia by the ICRC since 12 December, 10,900 people having lost their jobs, 860 companies having suspended their activity, a 35% drop in GDP, more than 61,383 tons of basic necessities not delivered since 12 December, 20,000 children deprived of “stable conditions for an appropriate education“, 3,900 people including 550 children in the inability to reach their homes, a total or partial blockage of the gas supply for 100 days, an interrupted electricity supply for 137 days.
