With the presidential elections in the Republic of Belarus scheduled for 26 January, the state media outlet Belarus Sevodnia (Belarus Today) conducted an interview with Alexander Volfovich, State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus, 10 days prior. During this exchange, the interviewee provided an overview of the country’s security situation. The discussion covered topics such as the origins and development of the country’s national security system, as well as attempts at destabilisation orchestrated by the opposition in exile and certain Western countries.
