Successful test for the French remote-operated munition (suicide drone) Colibri.

The Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Sébastien Lecornu announced on October 15 the success of the kamikaze drone trials, congratulating on X a “regaining of sovereignty in this key segment for our armed forces, in less than two years“. The project, led by French companies Delair and KNDS, is expected to equip French forces and be donated to Ukraine.

Signing of a major Anglo-German cooperation agreement.

On October 23, the United Kingdom and Germany signed the Trinity House agreement, announced in July 2024. The agreement aims to strengthen industrial cooperation in the field of long-range precision strikes and drones, as well as underwater military cooperation in the Baltic Sea. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that the agreement would cover “projects in the air, land, sea, and cyber domains“.

The agreement thus complements the two pre-existing bilateral agreements between the three major European nations (E3): the Lancaster House agreements (2010) between France and the United Kingdom, and the Aachen Treaty (2019) between France and Germany.
