China ordered Israel on January 30 to exercise restraint following the death of the tenth person after an Israeli raid in the West Bank town of Jenin. The victim, Omar al-Saadi, was a 24-year-old Palestinian and died of his injuries, according to the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Health.

The SCMP reports Beijing’s statement explaining «The top priority is to do everything possible to de-escalate the situation and to call on all parties, especially Israel, to exercise calm and restraint to prevent the situation from getting out of hand».
